During the second and final week of congressional recess, White House officials dominated climate news with strong affirmations that comprehensive climate and energy legislation is a top priority for the Obama administration this year. A number of devastating fossil-fuel-related disasters -- including a deadly explosion at a West Virginia coal mine that killed 29 workers -- dominated the news last week, highlighting yet another reason to move away from dirty fossil energy and toward safer and cleaner energy sources. 1Sky supporters continued to make news as they "stormed" congressional offices to defend the Clean Air Act from recent legislative attacks. This week, the Senate is back in session and poised for the introduction of a comprehensive climate and energy bill during the week of April 19-23.
