Let's put Nikos' ad on the air again on debate night!

Posted by: Luis | October 10, 2008

You guys are unbelievable! Thanks to you, we raised enough money -- in less than 24 hours -- to air 1Sky's ad on the evening of last Tuesday's presidential debate. We had never asked for contributions before, so we had no idea if we'd even come close to our goal. You proved once again that when we work together to show our leaders we're ready for bold climate solutions, we can make a real difference.

Thanks to you, we were able to air the ad on CNN and MSNBC, in 14 battleground states. Now, let's do it again! Can you contribute to get our demand for solutions back on the air on the eve of next Wednesday's debate? Please make a donation today.

Next Wednesday, we have another chance to reach millions of voters, candidates, and journalists with this powerful ad created by 10-year-old climate activist Nikos Spiridakis.

If you contributed last time, thank you! If not, now's your chance: Help in any way you can to put this ad back on the air. If we can raise another $10,000, Nikos' ad will run again during coverage of the final presidential debate, when tens of millions of viewers will be tuning in.

As Gillian said recently in an email to 1Sky activists, the more people see the climate crisis through the eyes of this 10-year-old child, the easier it will be to convince our leaders that drilling for oil is a dead-end street. I hope you'll come through and helps us air this ad once more!

Here's the ad, in case you haven't see it yet:

Just donated $10.00 for this. Still, haven't we decided that these hurricane/polar bear/doom and gloom message isn't all that effective? People freeze up/shut down when faced with the insurmountable. I thought we had moved on to the green jobs/clean energy message as a movement.
