Climate Action Now rally in Washington, DC next Tuesday
Picture this…
A staffer in a local district office in Maryland calls up her old friend who lives in Chicago, who also happens to work at a local congressional office:
“You know what happened today?”
“What?”
“Two different groups of constituents came by the office today and gave us a welcome card and asked us to take bold action regarding climate policy.”
“That’s weird...I had a constituent come in and do the same thing.”
“Yeah, they said that they were part of a movement...the new ‘climate voting bloc’ they called themselves. I guess they really meant it if you received a card, too.”
“I heard that people in the DC area hosted a big rally today, with prominent speakers, asking President-elect Obama to show leadership on climate by attending the United Nations Climate Conference in Poland.”
“I guess it is time to make climate change a priority!”
. . . . . . . . . . . .
