Liveblogging Power Shift '09 day 2: a table under siege

It's relatively quiet now here at t 2nd floor lobby of the DC Convention Center, but 15 mins. ago it was controlled chaos. At tabling central, dozens and dozens of climate activists young and old(er) swarmed tables from all kinds of organizations: We Campaign, Green for All, Sierra--and of course 1Sky.

Our awesome volunteers (Cindy, Susan, Kathryn, Michael, Christy, Emily, Tommi, Tama and Rachel) could hardly keep up with folks coming to our table asking about 1Sky and the Climate Precinct Captain (CPC) program. I don't have the exact count but a quick glance at the signup sheets told me we gathered quite a few names. Most people have moved on to the state caucuses, but a few still mill around the table. Not a bad day's work.

Incidentally, Rush Limbaugh is on CNN speaking at CPAC. His lips move but I just don't get what he's saying...
