We need your help and we need it this morning!

The Waxman Markey bill -- H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act -- is up for a vote today in the House of Representatives, and the votes might not be there to pass it. That's why we need you to make a very important call this morning to your representative, and urge them to vote to pass the bill.

While Waxman-Markey is not a perfect bill, getting it through the House now and working to strengthen it in the Senate later in the summer is our best chance for passing meaningful climate legislation. It's critical that this bill does not die today and that we have the opportunity to improve it later in the summer. A defeat now will set our movement back in a way that we don't want to contemplate.
