My children are inheriting the world that we are all creating with our high-energy lifestyles. For all ages, humans existed without electric billboards, gas-powered recreational vehicles (just for example), and the incredible amount of material clutter that we have filled our lives with. Clean air and water, natural spaces as God intended them, these are our most precious resources.

We have to act now and act with intention for what is best for the good of all, not just for our own wishes. The momentum behind the cultural change to modernize is unstoppable. We have to act now with great effort and intelligence to support the technology to make modernization's climate impacts sustainable. Or else, we suffer the fate of "the frog in the kettle" not realizing how much hot water we are in until it is too late.
