Repower Maine and 1Sky Target Maine's Senators through Local House Parties
As part of a national campaign to pass climate change legislation in Congress by December, Repower Maine hosted five action parties across the state this month, with one distinct purpose in mind: To get Senators Snowe and Collins to support a climate change bill that's being drafted in the Senate. One specific event, held at Slainte Wine Bar in Portland and led by Portland Representative and 1Sky staffer Diane Russell, hosted eleven activists who called the Senators with organizer-distributed cell phones and wrote them personalized postcards and letters.
