I hope Senators Arlen Specter (R., Pa.) and Robert P. Casey Jr. (D., Pa.) get dressed up for the April 22nd festivities in Pennsylvania, because they are expecting a lot of guests. The League of Young Voters Education Fund, along with 1Sky, The Sierra Club and other non-profits, plan to storm the senators' offices on Earth Day to let their representatives know that they want action on issues that affect their community.

Called, appropriately, “The Storm”, the group is inviting all citizens of the Pittsburgh area to join them in fighting for clean legislation. Everyone is asked to meet at noon at Mellon Square on the corner of Sixth Avenue and William PennWilliam Penn Place in downtown Pittsburgh.

On Friday, April 23rd, the group will be meeting with Sens. Specter and Casey from 1 to 3 p.m. at Enterprise Regional Towers, 425 Sixth Avenue in Pittsburgh, to talk about the need for green and long-lasting jobs in their communities, as well as why climate legislation is necessary for healthy communities.
