The Fourth of July is San Diego's busiest beach day of the year with hundreds of thousands flocking to the shoreline to enjoy a day of sand, sun, and fun. Unfortunately, anyone who’s seen the aftermath also knows that the holiday produces the most trash and litter of any other beach day. Last year, 1,000 Morning After Mess volunteers collected 8,000 pounds of trash. ILACSD is leading the Morning After Mess site at Belmont Park. Come join us to spread the message that everyone needs to respect the beach. Please bring your own reusable bottle and wear closed-toed shoes. Contact Jemma De Leon at jdeleon@cleansd.org or 619-704-2778 if you are interested in participating or have any event questions.
